Qualifications

• Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs preferred.
• Familiarity with ABA, MTSS, social-emotional learning, or trauma-informed practices preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with school staff.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs, including those with autism, trauma histories, or significant behavioral challenges.
• Implementing ABA and MTSS strategies to address behaviors and promote learning.
• Providing social-emotional learning (SEL) support, often in small groups or one-on-one settings.
• Building rapport and trust by consistently engaging students, even when behaviors are challenging.
• Supporting academic and life skills instruction alongside behavioral interventions.
• Preparing and maintaining behavioral data sheets to monitor student progress.
• Assisting with daily school routines, including student arrivals, morning meetings, and classroom transitions.
• Working with students on rotating assignments to support individualized academic, behavioral, and life skills goals.
• Collaborating with teachers, behavioral specialists, and other school staff to provide consistent student support.
