Verbal Behavior Associates is hiring Behavior Technicians to work 1:1 with students across San Diego County, including Ramona. You will support communication, self-help, social, and play skills while implementing BCBA-designed plans and tracking progress.

Training is provided as you earn your RBT certification, with paid non-billable time and growth opportunities through mentoring from BCBAs. We offer flexible schedules with paid drive time, a $20–$27 hourly rate, and opportunities for part-time

• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license

Join a team of mission-driven Behavior Technicians bringing ABA therapy to the children and schools that need it most. At VBA, you'll work 1:1 with students, help support their path forward, and build skills that will fuel your career in behavioral health - all while working a schedule you can count on.

$500 sign-on bonus for RBTs, $300 sign-on bonus for all others hired!

We’re hiring for schools throughout San Diego County, including National City, Chula Vista, Bonita, San Ysidro, Otay Ranch, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach, Del Mar, Vista, Rancho Santa Fe, Rancho Penasquitos, Poway, Escondido, Fallbrook, Ramona, Carmel Valley, Mission Valley, North Park, and University City.

What you'll do:

• Work 1:1 with children with special needs to build communication, self-help, social, and play skills
• Implement behavior plans designed by BCBAs, adapting techniques to each student's needs
• Track progress through behavior data collection and clinical notes
• Attend ongoing training to sharpen your skills and grow your ABA career

Pay & Schedule

• $20.00-$27.00/hour, plus paid drive time and mileage between sessions
• Consistent, school-day hours (typically 7:30 AM-3:30 PM) - no nights, no scrambling for a new schedule every week
• Part-time and full-time hours available; full-time starts at 30 hrs/week

Get certified while you work:

We pay for your training and shadowing as you earn your Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) certification, with direct support from BCBAs. Non-billable time, including training, is paid at prevailing minimum wage.

Experience working with children and/or disabilities is desirable, but not required.

We hire experienced RBTs and those just entering the field. If you're passionate about helping kids learn, we'll give you the training and guidance to succeed.

If hired, you'll also need to be able to pass a Live Scan background check and TB test, as well as provide proof of MMR and TDap vaccination.
