Job summary

Tolland Public Schools is seeking an Associate Behavior Intervention Specialist to join our team and support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs in a school setting.

The role involves crisis response, implementing behavior management plans, data collection, and collaboration with educational teams. A background with behavioral disorders or autism is preferred, with ABA experience as a plus. This is a non-certified, 10-month position with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with emotional behavioral disorders or autism spectrum disorders is desired.
• Ability to implement crisis de-escalation strategies and physical management as needed.
• Willingness to learn and execute daily responsibilities independently.

Responsibilities

• Crisis team responder to daily behavior management and physical intervention.
• Implement and monitor proactive behavior management strategies.
• Provide direct support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collect timely data on behavior and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with individualized education plans including academics and social skills.
