Job summary

Peoria Unified School District seeks a Certified Teacher, Special Education for Developmental Preschool at Sky View Elementary, Peoria, AZ. You will apply IEPs and provide direct services to preschoolers in a developmentally appropriate program.

You will work 9 months, under the supervision of the Principal and Preschool Director, to nurture social, emotional, and academic growth for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• IEP development, provision and compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Direct services to students per IEP agreement.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality.
• Align with Arizona Early Learning Standards.
• Maintain licensing requirements with AZ Dept of Health Services.
• Employ varied instructional techniques to meet needs of preschool students.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management for students with disabilities including IEP responsibilities.
• Deliver direct services to students per IEP.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality and privacy of student records.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned to state standards for preschool.
• Oversee and collaborate with instructional assistants as assigned.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
