Job summary

NOLA Public Schools in New Orleans seeks a School Social Worker to join the Student Evaluation and Support Services Team, providing psychological, social, sensory, and educational services to students aged 3-22 in various settings.

You will coordinate evaluations, participate in SATeam and IEP processes, explain assessment findings to families, design interventions, and maintain detailed records. A Master’s in Social Work, valid Louisiana Ancillary Certificate, and LCSW are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
• Valid Louisiana Ancillary Certificate.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise in evaluating exceptional children.

Responsibilities

• Functions as evaluation coordinator for designated referred students.
• Explains and interprets assessment services to parents, teachers, principals, and other appropriate personnel.
• Implements and/or assists in the design and implementation of educational/behavioral interventions for support and related services to clients.
• Attends Tier III data meetings to participate in development of evidence-based interventions.
• Maintains accurate case records and participates in IEP/Services Plan meetings when appropriate.
