The School Social Worker is a 10.5‑month full‑time position during the academic year. This position provides services that enhance home, school, and community partnerships and promote student welfare and academic achievement. Works with families and the school community to identify barriers to learning and addresses those barriers through direct counseling and the deployment of broad initiatives that meet the diverse needs of students and families.
Required: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Louisiana, with a minimum of three years of post‑master experience in a social work setting, providing social work services, in particular working with children, youth and families.
Preferred: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Louisiana, with a minimum of three years of post‑master experience in a social work setting, providing social work services, in particular working with children, youth and families.
Ancillary Certification from the Louisiana Department of Education as a Qualified School Social Worker
