Job summary

Orleans Parish School Board seeks a qualified professional to join the Student Evaluation and Support Services (SESS) Team. The role involves coordinating evaluations for referred students and collaborating with the Child Search Office, schools, and stakeholders to support our learners from ages 3–22.

The incumbent will explain assessment results, help design and implement educational/behavioral interventions, and contribute to IEP and Services Plan meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work required.
• Valid Louisiana Ancillary Certificate required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker with expertise in administering and interpreting diagnostic techniques used with all types of exceptional children.

Responsibilities

• Functions as evaluation coordinator for designated referred students.
• Represents the SESS team in SATeam discussions and provides feedback on best practices.
• Explains and interprets assessment findings to parents, teachers, principals, and other personnel.
• Implements and assists in designing educational/behavioral interventions for clients.
• Provides written reports of academic/behavioral services provided to clients.
• Participates in Tier III data meetings to develop evidence-based interventions and assess effectiveness.
• Conducts cognitive/developmental screenings and family interviews when appropriate.
• Participates in IEP staffing and Services Plan Meetings when appropriate.
• Maintains accurate case records in compliance with laws and policies.
