Job summary

Nyman Associates seeks compassionate, self-directed Behavior Specialist Consultants to support students in a school-based setting. You will assess needs, develop individualized behavior plans, and promote positive behaviors with school teams.

You will conduct FBAs, develop PBSPs, and provide ABA-based guidance to staff, aiming for social skills growth and student success within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of ABA experience including FBAs, PBSPs, and staff training.
• Experience with ASD and/or emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) using VB-MAPP, ABAS, Vineland, QABF, FAST and other data tools.
• Analyze results to identify function of behaviors and design ABA-based interventions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor PBSPs with measurable goals.
• Collect and graph data to monitor progress and intervention effectiveness.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and professionals to ensure consistent implementation.
• Provide consultation, guidance, and training to school teams on strategies.
• Supervise and support Registered Behavior Technicians as applicable.
