Job summary

Nyman Associates is seeking compassionate Behavior Specialist Consultants to support students in school settings. You will assess needs, develop behavior intervention plans, and work with school teams to promote positive behaviors, social skills, and success.

You will conduct FBAs, develop PBSPs, and provide staff training using ABA principles to help students progress socially and academically in their educational environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of ABA experience including FBAs, PBSPs, and staff training.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or emotional/behavioral disorders.
• Strong knowledge of ABA principles, assessment tools, and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) using tools like VB-MAPP, ABAS, Vineland, QABF, FAST, and others.
• Analyze results to identify function of behaviors and design ABA-based interventions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor PBSPs with measurable goals.
• Collect and graph data to track progress and evaluate interventions’ effectiveness.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and professionals to ensure consistent implementation.
• Provide consultation and training to school teams on behavioral strategies.
• Supervise and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) where applicable.
