Job summary

Cheshire Academy in Connecticut is recruiting an Athletic Trainer to support student health and sports medicine. Under supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, you will deliver injury prevention, on-site care, treatment, and rehabilitation, with game-day coverage and additional duties as needed.

The role requires a B.S. in Athletic Training, NATABOC certification, CT state licensure, and CPR/AED, with strong communication and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training is required.
• NATABOC certification and Connecticut State License to practice Athletic Training; active status.
• CPR and AED/First Aid certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services to Cheshire Academy students as directed by leadership.
• Provide services to student-athletes under supervision and according to policies.
• Take leadership if Head AT is not on site for policy implementation.
• Deliver care per NATA guidelines including prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and on-site emergency care.
• Act as liaison between physicians, health center staff, coaches, students, and parents.
• Maintain accurate medical records in Cheshire Academy’s EMR.
• Communicate return-to-learn protocol after concussion to relevant staff.
• Plan and coordinate educational programs for students, coaches, and faculty.
