Job summary

Qualifications

• Current certification as an athletic trainer (NATABOC).
• Certification in ECC CPR/AED or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Hawaii driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements SOPs for athletic health care programs and training facilities.
• Conducts pre-participation evaluations to screen risk factors.
• Works with coaches to develop training and conditioning programs.
• Advises on protective equipment selection and fitting.
• Monitors activities for safety hazards and makes recommendations.
• Provides first aid and emergency care including CPR; refers to physicians as needed.
• Designs rehabilitation programs post-injury under physician guidance.
• Organizes in-service educational programs for coaches and staff.
