Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional School Aide to assist with student supervision, crisis intervention, and data collection across the school day. The role supports behavioral plans and data tracking to monitor progress and quality of care for students.

Requirements include a related degree or GED with experience, NJDOE background check, strong communication skills, and proficiency with common Office/Google tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate's Degree in education, social work, psychology or related field with minimum one year experience with children in a group setting, or a High School diploma/GED with minimum three years experience in a group setting.
• NJDOE Criminal History Review is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of students during school day activities and field trips.
• Support crisis management including de-escalation and hands-on intervention.
• Assist in development, implementation and evaluation of behavioral intervention plans.
• Collect and maintain data on student behavior, attendance, and incidents.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain professional relationships with staff and students.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
