Job summary

Amergis, formerly Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is hiring School Aides for the Elkhart, IN area. The role involves in-person instructional and behavioral assistance for students, with 35 hours per week at $17 per hour starting 26/27 school year.

Experience working with children in 1:1 or group settings is required. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401k, direct deposit, and weekly paychecks. This is a non-remote, in-person position based in Elkhart.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher or designee.
• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs.
