The role involves assisting students under the supervision of the special education department and teachers, with potential support for mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• The School Aide works with students requiring instructional or behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department and teachers.
• May provide support for personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by health professionals.
