Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking an on-site School Aide to support teachers, students, and staff with daily operations and a positive learning environment.

The role involves copying, delivering materials, supervising students, and assisting with drop-off/pick-up via Driveline under the principal’s supervision. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to assist with classroom tasks and supervision.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the principal and teachers as needed.

• Supervise students during drills, assemblies, lunch, and trips.

• Maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of student information.
• Notify teachers of problems or special information about students.

• Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Periodically work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce material.

Position Overview

Providing assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within the school setting.

Essential Functions

• The Aide will work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus.
• Assists in duties such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects, as needed.
• Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
• Assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather. How Driveline Operates at LTS (video)
• Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers. How Driveline Works at LTS.
• Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
• May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs.
• Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor which do not require any professional skills.
• May periodically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
