Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking an School Aide to support teachers, students, and staff in daily school operations. You will assist with clerical tasks, supervise students during activities, and help with safe arrival and dismissal through Driveline.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and professional conduct. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy school environment.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Providing assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within the school setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • The Aide will work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus.
  • Assists in duties such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects, as needed.
  • Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips.
  • Assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather.
  • Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers.
  • Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
  • May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs.
  • Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor which do not require any professional skills.
  • May periodically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
