Job summary

Amergis, formerly known as Maxim Healthcare Staffing, is seeking a School Aide to support students in a school setting. The role is contract - full time in Old Orchard Beach, ME, paying $22 per hour with a 35-hour workweek.

You will assist with instructional and behavioral needs under supervision by the special education team. Responsibilities include aiding students with personal mobility and therapeutic needs, while complying with health and safety standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• TB questionnaire/PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Health certificate as per contract/regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Works with students requiring instructional and/or behavioral assistance under supervision.
• Provides support services to assist students with personal, mobility and therapeutic care needs as established.
• Collaborates with the special education department, teachers and supervising designee.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
