Job summary

Amergis seeks a School Aide to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education team. This role also supports students with mobility and personal care needs as directed by health professionals.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, compliance with professional standards, and applicable health certifications. This is a part-time contract role in a school setting with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a health professional.

Job description

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
