Job summary

Amergis in Hendersonville, NC is hiring a School Aide to support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department and teachers.

The role may include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs as directed by rehabilitation health professionals, social workers or other health care staff. It is a contract full-time position paying $20 per hour with a 37.50 hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Aide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, social worker or other health care professional.
