Job summary

Amergis is seeking a School Aide in Apache Junction, AZ to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education team. The role is contract - full time with 35 hours per week and pay of $20 per hour.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic needs as directed by health professionals, complying with professional standards, and maintaining certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• CPR certification if applicable.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Comply with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
