Job summary

The Jewish Community Center (JCC) is seeking a part-time Teaching Aide to join the home base teaching team, supporting early childhood and school age programs and building strong partnerships with families.

You will promote Keystone Stars standards, follow DHS procedures, attend regular team meetings, and help maintain a welcoming, safe, and educational environment for children, before and after school. Requires 18+ years old, a High School diploma, and openness to Jewish traditions.

• Promote JCC mission and programs to members and the public
• Model the JCC Core Values in daily interactions

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the home base team to provide a nurturing environment for all children

• Adhere to program handbooks and DHS regulations on families, care, records, curriculum, health and safety
• Attend regular team and program meetings

The Teaching Aide will cooperate with the home base teaching team to maintain the quality of the JCC's Early Childhood and School Age Programs, providing excellent care and education for children and building strong partnerships with families.

General Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the home base team to provide a nurturing environment in which all children feel welcomed and secure.
• Meet Keystone Stars standards.
• Adhere to the standards outlined in the Early Childhood and/or School Age Program Handbooks for: Following DHS regulations, Communicating with families, Care of facility and equipment, Record keeping, Curriculum, Health and safety procedures, Teamwork
• Attend regular meetings for your teaching team, the Early Childhood / SACC Program, and the JCC.
• Other duties as needed or assigned.

• Understand/possess an openness to Jewish religion and traditions
• Attend all meetings and events that support the department's main objectives and responsibilities
• Positively and actively promote the JCC's mission, membership, programs, events, and charitable purpose to JCC members and the general public
• Be familiar with the mission, vision statements, and Core Values of the JCC. Model the Core Values while working and communicating with members and staff

Part-Time 6:30am-8:00am and/or 3:00pm-5:30pm, Mon-Fri
