Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily operations of assigned classes.
- Plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment.
- Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
- Maintain child safety and handle stressful situations calmly while multi-tasking.
- Deliver the curriculum in alignment with academic standards.
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop creative curriculum ideas.
- Communicate with parents daily through mobile apps and personal discussions.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field, or Child Development Associate (CDA).
- Degree in any field with 6 hours of Early Childhood credits.
- 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
- Ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
- Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations; for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
- Meets background check eligibility.
