Job summary

Celebree School in Independence, KS is seeking a School Age Teacher to inspire and empower school-age children, creating a dynamic, engaging, and fun environment while upholding Celebree's mission and values. You will mentor students, helping them grow with confidence during their school-age years.

You will design age-appropriate lessons, manage the classroom per childcare regulations, maintain a welcoming atmosphere for families, and keep attendance and progress records to celebrate each

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements to be a lead teacher as approved by the governing State agency.
• Knowledge of developmental stages of children and childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote learning, creativity, and critical thinking among school-age children.
• Manage the classroom ensuring compliance with all Office of Child Care regulations, company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, parents, and visitors.
• Keep parents informed about their child's experiences and accomplishments.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities; counsel children using positive and appropriate discipline techniques.
• Ensure appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the classroom are maintained.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and achievements.
