Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; early childhood coursework or degree preferred.
• Previous experience with school-age children in a childcare or educational setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to pass a background check per state childcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and lesson plans for school-age children.
• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom and during activities.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages social and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress and daily activities.
• Assist children with homework and reinforce academic skills in a supportive setting.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support program goals and curriculum standards.
