Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a long-term substitute Speech and Language Therapist to serve school-age students within the William Penn School District. The position is temporary and anticipated to end in December 2026 with potential extensions.

Responsibilities include providing therapy, evaluations, and maintaining caseload documentation across itinerant classrooms. Salary for 2026-27 is $74,415–$107,845, placement based on experience and pro-rated by assignment length.

Qualifications

• Must have PDE certification as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Master's degree in Communicative Disorders.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence; Clinical Fellowship year considered.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide speech/language therapy services, complete evaluations and maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students including itinerant classrooms.
