Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a full-time Speech and Language Therapist for preschool students across Chester County for the 2026-2027 school year. This role requires valid PDE certification, a Master’s degree in Communicative Disorders, and completion of various clearances.

The therapist will provide therapy services, complete evaluations, and manage all paperwork. Salary ranges from $74,415 to $107,845 depending on experience. This position is county-wide and will work 194 days annually.

Job description

Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy for a full‑time Speech and Language Therapist position for preschool exists within the Division of Student Services for the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will serve preschool special education students countywide.

Qualifications

• Valid PDE certification as a Speech & Language Therapist required
• Master's degree in Communicative Disorders required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence; Clinical Fellowship year considered
• Current police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide speech/language therapy services, complete evaluations and maintain all paperwork for a caseload of students including itinerant classrooms.

$74,415 - $107,845 (all SLPs with Master's Degree in Speech Pathology/Communication Sciences Disorders – Track I)

194‑day position, 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week. Placement on salary range is determined by years of experience.
