Job summary

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is hiring Program Leaders to support our school-aged programs. You will plan and lead engaging activities, supervise groups, and ensure safety and positive behavior in line with our core values.

Part-time, year-round with opportunities for full-time in summer; shifts include before and after school. Bilingual staff receive a +10% differential (Spanish and English) to reflect valued language skills.

Qualifications

  • Provide documentation of 480 hours of experience working directly with school-age children.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or proof of completion.
  • Age 18 years or older.
  • Strong teamwork and communication with youth, parents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise children in small and large group activities.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings.
  • Follow YMCA policies, including safety and emergencies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with participants and families.

The YMCA's Youth Programs are growing fast, and we are seeking outstanding Program Leaders to support our expanding school-age offerings and grow into leadership roles at the YMCA of Northern Colorado. We are looking for candidates who love to get creative with construction paper and duct tape, who are happy to help kids with even the most challenging homework and who are always ready for a game of tag. We are looking for staff to ensure our kiddos are safe, secure and engaged while teaching them our core values: respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. Help us make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve each day in our programs.Shifts/Hours: Program hours are mornings 6:45am-8am (9am on Wednesdays) and/or 2:30-6:00pm M-F and more hours available on days when school is out for full day camp. We prefer staff to be available at least 3 consistent days per week, but we are also looking for substitutes. You can choose to do just before school, just after school, or a combination.This position is part time, year-round with opportunities for full time for summer season.
