Job summary

CRCC is seeking a Level 3 School-Age Paraprofessional to provide direct instructional and behavioral support in a K-4 setting at the Southwest Center (138th & Q). This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9am–5:30pm, with on-site training and CEUs.

The starting pay is $17.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; childcare experience or related coursework is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a childcare program and/or college courses in education/child development preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the special education teacher(s) and the child's team in implementing instructional plans, including IEP goals and BIP.
• Understand each student’s IEP and collaborate with professional teams to meet quarterly goals.
• Communicate with the student’s professional team regarding behavior, communication devices, and educational day.
• Support students during all classroom activities and supervision.
• Complete incident reports for extended times of physical aggression.
• Monitor and reinforce positive behavior; assist with behavior-management.
• Attend and be certified in MANDT training; use Rethink for data collection.
• Prepare learning materials and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Assist with attendance, filing, and record-keeping; communicate progress with team and families.
• Participate in planning meetings and professional development.
