Old Colony YMCA is seeking a Group Leader to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for school-age children. You will lead games, crafts, and activities, support homework, and assist with field trips.

The role involves organizing age-appropriate programming, supervising children, and upholding YMCA values while working with the Site Coordinator and team.

Qualifications

• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to plan age-appropriate activities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to child safety and YMCA policies.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for children.
• Lead activities including games, arts & crafts, STEM projects, sports, and outdoor play.
• Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate programming.
• Supervise children during daily activities, field trips, and events.
• Model the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
• Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Maintain a clean, organized program space.
• Complete attendance, incident reports, and required paperwork.
• Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and staff.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development trainings.
