Job summary

Huffman Family Brands seeks an educator for the Caliday School Age Program in Maryland to deliver engaging, safe after-school experiences in accordance with MSDE-OCC regulations. You will foster a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.

Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate activities, supervising students, guiding behavior with Conscious Discipline, and maintaining open communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Requires AA or Bachelor's in Elementary Education, Psychology, Child Development or related discipline OR 45 clock hours in Child Development (birth through school age) and 45 clock hours Curriculum for School Age Care.
• CPR and First Aid training certificates, Basic Health and Safety training, ADA training.
• 400 hours of experience working with school-age children in a professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages the program space, ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and company standards.
• Provides a welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Implements age-appropriate activities per Caliday curriculum and manages classroom behavior.
