Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Dayton is seeking a School Age and Day Camp Director- Float to develop, organize and implement high-quality YMCA Child Care programs across Miamisburg, Springboro, Centerville, and West Carrollton, OH. The role supervises staff, ensures program quality and safety, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

As Float Director, you will coordinate with ODJFS guidelines, manage enrollment and program development while maintaining records and reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; plan for 4-year degree; transcripts required.
• If degree not in ECE, 12 college credits must be in education field.
• Must obtain CDA within 1 year if not in ECE.
• Two years experience in child care or education field is required.
• Two years experience in child care program areas, systems, procedures, and guidelines.
• One year minimum supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and YMCA software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, evaluate, and implement all child care program aspects per YMCA guidelines.
• Supervise staff and ensure quality, enrollment targets, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with ODJFS for reports and inspections; respond to requests promptly.
• Maintain records for programs, facility, and staff; ensure CACFP paperwork.
• Hires, trains, and evaluates staff; fill vacancies per association guidelines.
• Promote CACFP and grant programs; manage marketing materials.
• Build relationships with members, participants, and community partners.
