Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for the Before School Program at Brinckerhoff Elementary School in Fishkill, NY. The 2026–2027 school year position is part-time and non-exempt, with a pay rate of $16.00–$17.00 per hour and follows the school calendar.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, art, homework).
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and model positive behavior for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support program operations (attendance, registration, staffing) as needed.

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
