Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Supervisor for our Before School Program at Brinckerhoff Elementary School in Fishkill, NY for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt role follows the school calendar, with a pay rate of $16.50 per hour and morning hours from 7:00 to 8:30 am.

You will supervise activities, model positive behavior, and support families and staff in delivering a safe, engaging program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with two years of child experience OR a School-age Child Care Credential with one year of experience OR an Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Candidate demonstrates health clearance and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and engaging environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school procedures.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must meet ONE of the following qualification options:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
• Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
