Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Programs at William B. Tecler Elementary School in Amsterdam, NY, for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, with an hourly pay rate of $16.00–$17.00 and a schedule that follows the school calendar (morning/afternoon shifts possible). Employment includes employer-paid childcare and other benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

PAY RATE: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 - 8:30 am

Afternoon Program: 2:45 - 6:00 pm
