Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at DB Bunce Elementary School in Pavilion, NY. The roles are part-time, non-exempt, with morning and/or afternoon slots following the school calendar.

Pay rate ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma (or 1 year of child experience), health clearance, and a positive, reliable attitude. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds around children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, arts, and homework.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Morning Program: 7:00 - 8:45 am

Afternoon Program: 3:30 - 6:00 pm

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
