Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our After School Program at Mettawee Community School for the 2026–2027 school year. The shift runs 2:30–5:30 pm on days following the school calendar, providing an engaging, safe environment for children.

This part-time, non-exempt role values energy, kindness, patience, teamwork, and clear communication with families. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit to support staff with caregiving needs.

Qualifications

  • 18 years or older and hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience working with kids under 13.
  • Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB.
  • Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat. Exceptional people skills, professional, reliable, and prompt.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry (up to 50 lbs.), and do whatever it takes to keep up with the children.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
  • Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
