Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Site Supervisor for our After School Program at AJ Smith Elementary School in Union Springs, NY for the 2026-2027 school year.

This part-time, non-exempt role runs 2:30–6:00 pm, follows the school calendar, and includes employer-paid childcare while you work. Ideal for education majors, students, or professionals who love mentoring children and supporting learning through play.

Position Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Candidates Must Meet ONE Of The Following Qualification Options

• A high school diploma or its equivalent; and two years of direct experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• A School-age Child Care Credential or other Office recognized credential specific to the school-age developmental period, and one year of experience working with children less than 13 years of age.
• Associate’s degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
