Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Programs for the 2026–2027 school year.

Join a mission-driven team that provides engaging, structured activities for children at multiple sites in New York. Morning and afternoon shifts align with the school calendar, offering flexible part-time hours and employer-paid childcare benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience with children under 13.
• Health clearance including TB screening.
• Positive attitude, interpersonal skills, and reliability.
• Ability to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school host policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing.

Morning Program: 7:00 - 9:00 am

Afternoon Program: 2:15 - 6:00 pm

• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
