Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a School-Age Childcare Lead for Bethel Elementary School’s Before and After School Program for the 2026-2027 school year. The role operates on a part-time schedule aligned with the school day, with morning and/or afternoon shifts and a focus on safe, engaging activities.

Applicants should have a relevant degree or credentials as listed, plus experience with school-age programs. Employer-paid childcare and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this position.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age required.
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks.
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties including a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Providing a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observing state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Certain positions may also perform management functions such as accurate attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Job description

LOCATION: Bethel Elementary School in Bethel, PA

PAY: $16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM

Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM-6:30 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Education and Experience

Candidate must possess one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
• Bachelor's degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
• Associate's degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate's degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience

Relevant experience includes:

working with school-age children in after-school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social-emotional and academic growth.
