Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Lead for Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA, for the 2026–2027 school year. The role supports before/after school care for children ages 5–12, following the school calendar with morning and/or afternoon sessions.

The position is part-time and non-exempt, with employer-paid childcare benefits and a starting pay of $16.00 per hour. Relevant education in early childhood and related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, elementary education or human services.
• Bachelor’s degree with 30 credit hours in above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree in above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience.
• CDA credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy environment and serve as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines and program policies.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
• Bachelor’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 1 year of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree in the above fields plus 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate’s degree including 30 credit hours in the above fields plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials plus 2 years of relevant experience

Relevant experience includes: working with school‑age children in after‑school programs, summer camps, classrooms, or similar settings, including planning activities, supervising groups, and supporting social‑emotional and academic growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
