Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for our Before and After School Program at Penn-Bernville Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This part-time, non-exempt position follows the school calendar with morning and afternoon shifts.

Salary ranges from $13.50 to $14.50 per hour. Benefits include employer-paid childcare, telehealth, vision and dental coverage, AFLAC, 401(k), paid sick time, on-demand pay, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience working with children under 13
• Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks
• Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB
• Warm, friendly, professional, and reliable
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:35 AM

Afternoon Program: 3:20 PM-6:30 PM
