Job summary

The Learning Experience - Westfield in Westfield, Indiana is seeking an After School Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging space for school-age children after the day ends.

You will support homework, lead enrichment activities, implement the LEAP curriculum, build strong relationships with families, and communicate about each child’s progress with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• One year of professional teaching or childcare experience preferred or six months of professional experience required.
• Associate degree or higher in ECE or related field preferred or High school diploma/GED required.
• There are applicable state licensing requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for school-age children during after-school hours.
• Support homework completion and provide engaging enrichment activities, games, and creative play.
• Implement the LEAP curriculum elements and activities designed to keep learning fun after the school bell rings.
• Build relationships with families and colleagues, creating a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing children’s adventures and achievements through various channels, including apps and personal discussions.
• Assist with safe pickup and dismissal procedures at the end of each day.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
