Job summary

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring School-Age Childcare Staff for our Before and After School Program at Sheafe Road Elementary School in Wappingers Falls, NY for the 2026–2027 school year.

Position is part-time, non-exempt with a schedule following the school calendar. Morning (7:00–8:30) and/or afternoon (3:00–6:00) shifts are available, with opportunities for both sessions. Employer-paid childcare is a featured benefit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands‑on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum which includes fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and other group activities as well as homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.
• Observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
• Support program operations, which may include attendance records, registration, and staffing responsibilities.
