Job summary

Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, MD is seeking a full-time Associate Director of Advancement for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role partners with the Vice President of Advancement to drive fundraising initiatives and sustain the institution's long-term mission.

You will manage a portfolio of prospects, execute moving management, oversee donor research, draft proposals, and coordinate events while delivering clear reports to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and/or CFRE preferred.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in advancement, development, fundraising, or related nonprofit operations preferred.
• Experience with CRM and donor database systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge), wealth-screening tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to develop effective proposals, donor communications, and executive reports.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the VP of Advancement to develop and execute annual and multi-year fundraising strategies.
• Monitor departmental goals, track KPIs, and generate revenue reports and performance dashboards for leadership.
• Prepare comprehensive prospect briefings and proposals in advance of high-level solicitations.
• Provide administrative and operational support, including preparing materials and tracking follow-up actions.
• Identify, research, and qualify prospective donors using wealth-screening tools and database analytics.
• Maintain a robust prospect pipeline using a Moves Management framework to guide donors through engagement.
• Oversee donor database integrity and ensure proper recording of research, reports, and strategies.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects with tailored cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
• Draft gift proposals, grant applications, personalized donor communications, and impact reports.
• Conduct meetings and outreach to articulate the institution’s mission and funding priorities.
• Implement recognition and stewardship programs for donor appreciation.
• Coordinate and execute key advancement events and collaborate with Marketing on materials.
