Qualificações

• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills

• Maintain accurate service logs, progress notes, and IEP progress reports
• Participate in Team meetings, student support team meetings, IEP & 504 meetings, and re-entry meetings as needed
• Consult with teachers and administrators on student behavior, attendance, and social-emotional needs
• Communicate with families and connect them with school and community resources
• Coordinate with outside providers and agencies (with appropriate consent)
• Support schoolwide social-emotional learning and prevention efforts (including assistance with administering the BIMAS screener in the spring)
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal

Position Summary

The long-term substitute School Adjustment Counselor will provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students, deliver counseling services, and collaborate with staff and families to remove barriers to learning. The counselor will step into an existing caseload and maintain continuity of services for students during the leave period.
