Brazosport College is seeking a Scholarship & Financial Aid Coordinator to oversee institutional, foundation, departmental, employee, external, and special scholarship programs from application to disbursement and reporting. The role also supports federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs and partners with the Brazosport College Foundation for donor-funded scholarships.

Coordinates the administration of all institutional, foundation, departmental, employee, external, and special scholarship programs from application through awarding, disbursement, reconciliation, and reporting. Serves as the primary liaison for scholarship administration with the Brazosport College Foundation and other campus departments. Supports the administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs by processing student eligibility, awarding aid, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and assisting with outreach and financial aid initiatives.
Administers Institutional Scholarship Programs.
Coordinates the administration of all institutional scholarship programs, including donor‑funded Foundation scholarships, institutional scholarships, departmental scholarships, employee scholarships, graduating senior scholarships, external pass-through scholarships, and other special scholarship programs. Manages scholarship application cycles, eligibility review, selection processes, awarding, disbursement, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance with donor, institutional, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinates Scholarship Operations and Foundation Relations.
Serves as the primary coordinator for scholarship administration by managing scholarship application systems, establishing new scholarship funds and award structures within the student information system, maintaining scholarship records, preparing reports, reconciling scholarship accounts, responding to information requests, and working closely with Brazos port College Foundation staff regarding scholarship setup, donor requirements, reporting, and annual scholarship administration.
Administers Financial Aid Programs.
Processes student financial aid records including FAFSA review, verification, eligibility determination, professional judgment documentation, awarding, and maintenance of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs including grants, work‑study, waivers, exemptions, and other financial assistance in accordance with applicable regulations and College policies.
Student Advising, Communication, and Outreach.
Provides guidance to students, parents, faculty, staff, and community partners regarding scholarship opportunities, financial aid programs, eligibility requirements, application procedures, deadlines, and available resources. Assists with orientations, workshops, recruitment events, scholarship promotion, and other outreach activities supporting student access and success.
Reporting, Compliance, and Operational Support.
Maintains accurate scholarship and financial aid records; prepares reports and reconciliations; assists with audits, compliance reviews, and data analysis; supports continuous improvement of scholarship and financial aid processes; and provides operational support for other Financial Aid Office functions as assigned.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid, scholarship administration, student services, or a closely related field. Experience administering scholarship programs and working with student information systems preferred.
