Job summary

Colorado Mesa University seeks a dedicated professional to support scholarship management, donor relations, and fundraising efforts within the Foundation. You will assist with grant-related writing, administer scholarships and donor stewardship, and coordinate with campus departments on scholarship processing.

As part of the Foundation, you will oversee administrative functions, support award management, and supervise student employees while contributing to annual giving goals and events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and a minimum of two years’ experience in scholarship management, donor relations, or fundraising.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail for multiple projects.
  • Proven ability in long-term relationship building and stewardship with donors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent oral and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of written materials including letters of inquiry, grant applications, memorandums of understanding, proposals, and solicitation letters.
  • Administer scholarships and ensure proper development and documentation of scholarship processes.
  • Coordinate with the Office of Financial Aid, Admissions Department and Student Success and Engagement Department on scholarship processing by communicating the availability of new scholarships and criteria; ensuring guidelines are met; providing funds information; distributing scholarship funds; serving as liaison between the student and the donor.
  • Serve as an administrator for Award Management and manage donor profiles.
  • Oversee Foundation Administration, Donor Cultivation and Stewardship, Scholarship Program Oversight and related tasks.
  • Provide planning and execution support for stewardship-related events and campus engagement activities.
  • Supervise student employees; delegate tasks with clear scope, provide feedback and direction.
