Job summary

Independence Preparatory Academy in Fairfield, AL seeks a Scholar Enrichment Coach (Physical Education) to deliver engaging PE experiences for K–8 scholars, fostering teamwork, discipline, and healthy habits aligned with our SOAR values.

The Ideal candidate has at least 2 years of college coursework or an Associate's degree (preferred) and 2–3+ years of experience working with children in education or youth development. Salary to 45k, with a mission-driven school culture.

• 2-3+ years of professional experience working with children in education, youth development, counseling, leadership development, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate physical education lessons for scholars in grades K-8 with movement-based learning.
• Teach teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and healthy habits through movement and play.
• Maintain safe, structured, and joyful learning environments during all physical activities.
• Reinforce school-wide behavior systems and SOAR values.
• Support scholars in building confidence, self-discipline, and resilience.
• Contribute to school-wide culture initiatives, celebrations, and events.
• Support supervision duties, transitions, recess, and other operational responsibilities.

Independence Preparatory Academy is a new, academically challenging, highly structured, and joyful K-8 school in Fairfield, AL. We are on a mission to equip all students with the academic tenacity and strength of character necessary to choose their destiny and create a fulfilling life. We develop empowered learners through agency, purpose, and tenacity. In August 2025, Independence Preparatory Academy opened its doors to 60 students in kindergarten through second grade. We will continue to grow until we reach a total capacity of 485 students in kindergarten through eighth grade. JOIN THE MISSION As a Scholar Enrichment Coach, you will facilitate physical education and movement-based learning experiences for scholars in grades K?3 while helping them build teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and healthy habits aligned with iPrep's SOAR with Pride values: Service, Optimism, Agency, Resilience, and Pride. We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary range for this position is between $40,000 and $45,000. Salary is competitive and aligned to experience and internal equity.
