The Frick Collection invites applications for a six-month Scher Fellow to pursue research in the field of medals from circa 1400–1900. The Fellow will gain curatorial training, access the Frick Collection and Frick Art Research Library, and collaborate with curatorial staff on displays and exhibitions.

Beginning between September 2027 and January 2028, the Fellow will deliver a public lecture and prepare it for publication in the Frick’s Scher Fellow Lectures series; the position is full-time,

Competenze

• Applications are invited from candidates at any career stage across academia, museums, and related fields.
• Particular consideration will be given to early-career candidates.

• Work with curatorial and educational staff on research for permanent collection displays and special exhibitions.
• Participate in the daily administrative routines of a small museum.
• Deliver a public lecture on the topic of their research at the Frick and prepare it for publication in the Frick’s Scher Fellow Lectures.
