Job summary

Bradley Medical Center is seeking a detail-focused scheduler to manage outpatient procedure appointments. You will pre-register patients, enter information accurately, and maintain professional communication with staff and patients.

Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software is expected, with emphasis on confidentiality and accuracy. The role requires a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and preferably some college or hospital experience; strong organizational and time-management

Qualifications

  • Education: High school graduate or GED preferred.
  • One or two years of college preferred.
  • Hospital or similar medical facility experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates: none required.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to coordinate and maintain complex schedules with a high degree of accuracy
  • Excellent customer service, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and scheduling software
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

  • Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information concerning patients and families.
  • Follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement activities.
  • Communicate in an acceptable, easily understood manner.
  • Schedule patients for outpatient procedures.
  • Pre-key patient accounts to create account numbers.
  • Provide accurate scheduling of patients in accordance with department guidelines.

Position Purpose

Primary function is to accurately schedule patients for outpatient procedures. Pre-register patients by entering information into computer accurately and in a professional and courteous manner.
